So now that you've decided with or against picking him up, your next decision is do you want to drop some RP on the
Mecha Kha'Zix skin? Here is Riot's comic for the skin, featuring several, but not all, of it's new particles and effects.

Be warned though, the
Mecha Kha'Zix skin is mixing things up a bit. Instead of the Traditional 975 RP price point, this fancy new skin will run you a staggering
1350 RP. This price increase is a result of the skin being dang near legendary, as it includes a slew of new particles, effects, and even new sounds.
However,
until October 4th, you will be able to pick up the Kha'Zix + Mecha Kha'Zix bundle for 1462 Riot points, the normal price for a champion and release skin despite the inflated standard
Mecha Kha'Zix price.
So what do you guys think of this
new release price? Is the extra quality and effects worth the inflated price or are you upset that Riot is stepping outside the mold a little bit here?

ReplyDeleteWell, having a near-legendary quality skin upon release is certainly better than having two ugly skins no one wants (Sejuani, Hecarim and many others).

ReplyDeleteI'll be picking up ka'zix but skipping the skin. I don't buy skins since I still got 30'ish champs to unlock. Holiday skins are a whole other category tho... Those incoming Halloween skins...

ReplyDeleteIs it just me or is the hidden passive gone? My friend and I 1v1'd as Kha'zix and Rengar, and we both got to 16, she used all her evolution points, and I got my Bonetooth Necklace, but there was no "The hunt is on" or head of Kha'zix when I killed her.

DeleteThey changed it to both khazix and rengar must be 18 lvl. Then a quest pops up on every player of both teams and the winner takes his price. I played a match, assisted in killing rengar at 18 lvl and unlocked 4th evolution!!! :)
DeleteIt's actually Rengar only needs bonetooth necklace and Kha'zix needs to have used his 3 evolution points. The time the event happens is completely random after that.

ReplyDeleteOf course no one likes an increase in prices, but if they keep making bundles with prices like that it's a no-brainer. And this one is really above the others 975 RP.
But since nobody mentioned it, I must say using Mecha Kha'z is almost cheating, since his passive on his Q is a lot easier to spot than his normal version... it's an advantage I'd say, a tiny one but still, an advantage...
The hunt is on, should be no assists, only kills. That would make it so much more legit.

ReplyDeleteThe skin is just great. It's on par with the mecha Cho'Gath skin, meaning it's actually cheaper than it should be considering it's really legendary with all the different particle effects.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair though, considering how different Kha'Zix can look with all his evolutions, I wouldn't be surprised if all his future skins are slightly more expensive than the norm. Unless it's just a basic recolor, but I don't bother with those anyways.
