edit: For those looking for what's new on the 10-9 PBE update, they mostly fixed a bug with Morgana's Q.
A small update was applied to the PBE tonight and interestingly enough Rocketeer Tristana, an unreleased skin, received some updates to both her model and her load screen picture.
( Note: the wall of text below is only relevant for the NA/EU community, the Garena servers run a bit differently and have had this skin, although not updated, for a while now. )
With these updates, it seems Riot might just be gearing up to release this long lost skin. Please keep in mind, though, that this stuff is all tentative and may or may not be completed.

10/10 Edit: I'm still scopping out the validity of this, but I've been told an ad for the new skin was pushed out early on the BR servers. Sh wasn't yet purchasable but if this is true it pretty much confirms she is going to be released at some point.

DeleteShe is my main and favorite champion in the game. It's true she needs a small buff to make her more viable in competitive play but every patch that involves her it is a nerf. the most recent one removed the killing things with abilities procs 'explosive shot's passive. it made farming slower and enemies could walk next to minions safer. And i swear Riot hot fixed her jump range b/c i feel like i can't jump as far as I used to.

DeleteI would rather have a great balanced game with little bugs and great looking champs, than plenty of skins.
But I think they have postponed it with purpose. Maybe they're going to do something special with it (bet it's just a normal skins, and the artist just got lazy/busy for a while).
But there are still a lot of bugs popping up around every patch, server problems, etc., and it's irrelevant anyway since different teams work on those issues.
DeleteI hope there was a good reason for postponing it too, because otherwise it seems sillier than the ridiculous amount of time it took for pulsefire ez to come out.
They probably postponed it because it didn't feel right to them, same as when they postpone/scrap all the other skins, like Dark Crusader Mordekaiser. I'd rather someone be interested in creating the skin, even if they have to rediscover that interest, than someone lose interest halfway through and they go, "Well, its started, may as well put out what we have."

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like from what I see on the new updated model is that there is no smiley face on the rocket in the gun :( granted I know there will probably be changes before it's released otherwise I like the updated model just miss the smiley lol

Delete....no if you check the old model pic right there in front of you, you would see a smiley face on the rocket on the old model shouldnt be that hard to just look at the picture :P

ReplyDeleteNerf for Leona as well on the PBE - her Q doesn't reset her autoattack timer after use anymore. The animation is super long.
ReplyDeleteAlso, bringing awareness to the issue: her Q cooldown has been 12/11/10/9/8 forever even though it was supposed to be buffed to 11/10/9/8/7 a long time ago.

ReplyDeleteShe just doesn't do as well as other AD champs. No burst... pretty much reliant on items and AA. One of those champs you would consider a beast at late game but not as strong early.
DeleteIf they would buff her Rocket Jump to be faster or more responsive then people might play her more. I've seen how she can get interrupted while trying to jump because the animation is so slow and dies right there.
This IMO is the best skin for her... the legendary one is just weak.
