This weekend plays host to the IEM World Championship, an international slugfest between teams from the LCS, LCK, LMS, and LPL to ring out the IEM season!
[NOTE: Now that the even is over, there will be spoilers for day three's winners in the post!]

IEM World Championship

IEM World Championship will pit the top teams and winners of previous IEM competitions in an international showdown to show who is the IEM World Champion in Katowice, Poland! Eight teams total, hailing from NA, EU, China, Korea, and Taiwan, will be competing in a three day double elimination bracket for a chance at winning over $150,000 in prize money.

The initial group stage is a best of one double elimination format. The Semifinals will be best of three and the finals will be a best of five.

For the initial round, the invited teams are divided into two groups. This is only for the preliminary round.
