4/5 PBE Update: Conqueror Varus Splash

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 8.8 PBE cycle, today's patch includes the splash art for Conqueror Varus, as well as more tentative balance changes!

Balance Changes

[These changes were hotfixed to live on 4/4!]
  • Base AD lowered from 63 to 60
  • Base Armor lowered from 34 to 31
  • Base HP lowered from 580 to 550
  • Bladesurge (Q) AD ratio lowered from 80% to 70%
  • Flawless Duet (E) stun duration lowered from .8/.9/1/1.1/1.2s to .75s
  • Vanguard's Edge (R) wall crowd control duration lowered from 2s to 1.5s

Lux

  • Light Binding (Q)
    • damage increased from 50/100/150/200/250 to 70/120/170/220/270
    • mana cost lowered from 50/55/60/65/70 to 40/45/50/55/60
  • Prismatic Barrier (W)
    • mana cost lowered from 60 at all ranks to 50 at all ranks
    • [Effect Changed] Return shield now always does 2x the base shield amount
      • [no longer needs to hit an ally on the way out]
    • "Lux now shields herself and fires the missile at start of cast (instead of after the .25 seconds cast time)"

Nautilus
  • Base mana increased from 334 to 400
  • Dredge Line (Q) cooldown lowered from 18/16/14/12/10 to 14/13/12/11/10

Oracle Lens

  • Item renamed from Oracle Alteration to Oracle Lens

Runes

[Reworked Keystone] Open Spellbook (I1)
  • Unsealed Spellbook is now "Open Spellbook"
  • [Changed Effect] "While out of combat, swap one of your equipped Summoner Spells to a new, single use Summoner Spell. Each unique Summoner Spell will decrease your swap cooldown by 15s.
Your first swap becomes available at 5 mins, with an initial 3.5 min cooldown. You must swap to 3 different Summoner Spells before returning to one you've already used."

Context & Notes

1) Riot August noted a new changelist for Lux in today's PBE Update:
"After a few tests, it became pretty obvious that the Lux changes I was testing were not something her players in either position would enjoy. 
Trying a simpler changelist that buffs her in a different way: Power +Mana costs on her combo and supportive aspects. STILL EXPERIMENTAL"
