Irelia Champion Update

"I am both the tranquil sea and the tempest." Following multiple teasers and her champion revealIrelia's champion update is now on the PBE for testing! Just like Swain and Evelynn, this is a LARGE scope champion update complete with new gameplay, visuals, updated skins, voiceover, and more!

Irelia is ready to run wild in PBE. However, we do know she is not perfect right now. We are still working on polish, but to help us, please let us know of any bugs that you happen to see or be a part of! 
Things that we know: 
Order of the Lotus is disabled today. We had an issue with the model and she'll be available tomorrow! 
You're going to see or hear some issues with Frostbuns and Infiltrator. We are currently in the works of wrapping those two skins up for Audio. Please be patient the first couple days of PBE. However, please give us feedback on the sounds you do hear, we would love to know what you think!

Ionian Fervor (Passive)
"When Irelia hits enemies with her abilities, she gains a stack of Ionian Fervor for 6 seconds. Her basic attacks deal [4/5/6/7/9/10/11/12/14/16/18/20/22/24 at 1/3/5/7/9/10/11/12/13/14/15/16/17/18 + 2/3/4% AD at 1/7/13 ] bonus magic damage per stack. 
At max (4) stacks, Ionian Fervor also grants [20/30/40% at 1/7/13] Attack speed and deals 300% damage to shields.  
Ionian Fervor's duration is refreshed when Irelia attacks a champion.
An ability will grant multiple stacks if it hits multiple champions."

Bladesurge (Q)
Cost: 20 Mana
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
Irelia dashes to an enemy, dealing 10/30/50/70/90 (+80% AD) physical damage, applying on-hit effects and healing for [12/14/16/18/20% AD] health. 
Bladesurge's cooldown is reset if the target was Marked or dies to Bladesurge. 
Bladesurge deals 60% bonus damage to non-champions.

Defiant Dance (W)
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 Mana
Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds
First Cast: Irelia aligns her blades into a defensive formation, gaining 45/50/55/60/65% (+10% AP) damage reduction and a stack of Ionian Fervor but becoming unable to act. 
Second Cast: Irelia swipes her blades, dealing 10/30/50/70/90 (+60% AD) (+45% AP) physical damage. Damage increases with charge time, up to 20/60/100/140/180 (+120% AD) (+90% AP) after .75 seconds. 
Defiant Dance cannot be interrupted. 
Quick Cast: Hold and release instead of casting twice.

Flawless Duet (E)
Cost: 50 Mana
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Irelia readies 2 blades that will fly towards each other once placed, dealing 80/120/160/200/240 (+80% AP) magic damage and stunning for .8/.9/1/1.1/1.2 seconds. 
Champions and large monsters are Marked for 6 seconds.
Flawless Duet deals 50% damage to monsters.

Vanguard's Edge (R)
Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 120/105/90 seconds
Irelia launches a storm of blades that explode outward upon hitting a champion. The blades deal 150/275/400 (+70% AP) magic damage and Mark champions and large monsters for 6 seconds. 
Irelia then forms the blades into a wall for 2.5/3/3.5 seconds. Passing through the wall deals 125/200/275 (+70% AP) magic damage, slows by 60% and disarms for 2 seconds. 
Disarmed enemies cannot basic attack.

Cannon Minion changes targeted for 8.7 

Here's RiotRepertoir with a thread on cannon minion changes coming to the PBE:
"Hi everyone,

We're looking to ship some changes to primarily cannon minions (and a few others for the sake of tuning) for 8.7. The basic outcome of these changes is that cannons will be worth a fair amount more and be a bit tankier, while other minions will be worth slightly less gold.

The idea behind these changes is that increasing the value of cannons will make them more worth fighting over, and that increasing their health will make the waves they're in not quite so easily cleared out. Some of you may recall that this approach is very similar to about half of a larger minion pass that appeared on the PBE for the 8.6 cycle, but we're not currently looking to add those other changes into the mix for now. Below are the tentative cannon minion changes and related tuning changes to the rest of the system:
Cannon Minions
  • Base Gold Value :: 45 >>> 60
  • Gold Value Growth per 90 seconds (3 waves) :: 0.35 >>> 3
  • Base Health :: 828 >>> 900
  • Health Growth per 90 seconds (3 waves) :: 23 >>> 50

Super Minions

One of the first things worth pointing out with these changes is that the total amount of gold acquirable from minions in the system is largely unchanged, with the percent difference in cumulative gold in the system starting around -1.5% and fluctuating between -1% and +1% by 20 minutes into the game.

The major tuning consideration that still needs to be made if we're to go forward with this seems to be what to do about Relic Shield and its upgrades, since at optimal play, this sure results in increased gold generation for its users. As such, if you see an alteration to any of those items hit the PBE soon, that's likely why.

[PBE] Feature in testing: New banner call outs for objective steals 

Here's Fearless with details on a new feature in testing on the PBE:
"Hello Friends! 
We have a small feature in testing on the PBE right now, where the game will attempt to recognize when a team “steals” an objective. We’re looking to find ways to recognize more high moments, and big objective steals are some of the biggest turning points that the game currently doesn’t celebrate well. 
We’re currently trying to watch for when both teams end up damaging an objective, and based on how that damage is split up and comes in over time, we recognize the steal and for now, give it a kill banner. If we get the procedural recognition dialed in to a spot that feels accurate, we might look to improve the callouts in game. 
Right now, the most important feedback would be any times that the game calls an objective take a steal, but you feel that was off. We’d also be happy to hear about any situations that you feel should have been a steal, but weren’t called out. 
Quick note that this is only hooked up for Dragon and Baron, it’s a known bug that Rift Herald is currently excluded.
