Reported for being ... an unskilled player?

Within the past month, the interface for reporting players post game received some new, more detailed, explanations for you to file. One in particular that has warranted some unrest in the community is labeled as "Unskilled player". Players have been in an uproar wondering if having a bad game or true lack of skill can get them banned from their beloved league. Reds finally posted regarding this issue.


"Greetings, summoners!

While this new option in our report functionality is not a bannable offense; it will be used to improve the performance of our matchmaking system. At best, this will have a small impact, but it was worth implementing all the same."

    I love this report option as, especially for ranked, you can no longer be carried out of your league, assuming it is acted upon properly.
