Update on the Persus Pantheon promotion.

Our fellow summoner Metronomicanoid isn't normally the one to gripe, but he just can't let go of some things. He recently made a disgruntled post about the promotion Riot held back in late January. The promotion, aimed at enticing summoners of old back to the game, consisted of a promotional codes sent by email to redeem both the champion Pantheon and Persus Pantheon skin. These items, valued at around $15, caused an immediate uproar on the forums. Active summoners became furious that people who quit the game received free content, while they received nothing for their loyalty. Riot was in quite the pickle and promised to look into the situation to try to find an outcome that made everyone happy. We received a somber red post today about the matter, clarifying that there will not be a similar promotion again. Whether it is good or bad that community was up in arms about this promotion, I don't know, but who wouldn't want more people to flock back to their beloved game? What do you think?

    I was quite frustrated they gave it out as well. I did have pantheon, but no skins for him! Hopefully they'll find a better solution instead of no more promotions.

    I see no point in it. If inactive had previously not taken a skin, why they should do after receiving free skins?

    Too much whining in the LoL community. The focus shouldn't be on fancy skins or shit like that. People need to get a better skill in this game. There are too many ridiculously bad player on level 30.

    i actually had a friend that got back into it after receiving this..... i wish i had this, pantheon is one of my favorite champ in the game.

    TBH, that is total BS by Riot. Us active users make THEM money by buying RP, but they send the valued items for free to the quitters. Nice

    Giving stuff out to un-loyal customers can suck, but just because somebody gets something free doesn't mean thatyou deserve it!

    Giving free stuff to the quitters is so they come back, i understand this buit yeah what about the loyal players they should get something also, why? Because they already gave freebies to quitters it has to be equal.
