Remember back in January when Riot
announced they were going to implement a new feature called
The Tribunal? Well thanks to a red post on the
EU forums we have a small update on that. The Tribunal is planned to be a way for the community to help with griefers. The system will work something like this: after reports are filed against a player, a willing summoner will receive, via the in game client, the "trial". They will then formulate a decision based on factors such as the chat log, the report details, the game statistics, and the record of the player being reported. They can then chose to Punish, Pardon, or Skip the case with varying out comes.
"We're actually getting pretty close to being done with the development of the Tribunal. We should have a release date for you this month. Stay tuned!"

Here's to hoping that an anti-griefing/cheating system isn't used to harass people.
