With Gamescom coming up, I'm curious to how the timing for Rengar's release is going to pan out. We know Riot games is going to be present at Gamescom, but will they release Rengar before they unveil their new champion with "gravity influencing" abilities? Or will we see them both available for play there with Rengar coming out after the event is over ( similar to how they did with Varus and Hecarim at Pax East )

I really like the new layout, except when I'm trying to look at the website from my smartphone. The only layout was more smartphone friendly.
DeleteThis layout is awful, it's jumpy, blocky and doesn't scale well on my browser (Opera). Please change it back, it seems so clinical. The last one looked good and had a nice "league" feel to it, this feels like any other website.

DeleteYeah I would much rather have it pop down instead of changing to a new window, but my major issue with the new set up is that it just looks boring. Everything is grey and blocky even with the hints of orange it just seems kinda ugly to me. It's too serious and not as fun or happy as the old layout and it leaves half of the page blank on the right side only filling the left half with the web page.

DeleteRengar is not OP at all, I played PBE recently and it's easy to deal with him, i personally play Rengar, and lots of champs counter him badly... people who QQ about Rengars being OP are just dumb... and don't know ANYTHING about this champion. He is balanced, and after release he will be treated similar to Hecarim... not a gamechanging champ at all.

I like the old banner and color scheme better, seemed more LOL-like, but other than that its a big improvement.

DeleteYeah it feels so cluttered with boxes everywhere, and it definitly needs some picture or color the orange and grey dont mix well and are broing when compared to the bright and lively purples and greens the oldlayour had.
DeleteI don't really feel welcome anymore :( It use to be kinda like "oh hey come read about a fun cool game! Yay!" and not it seems too business like. Even riots official website is laid back with the old paper textures and the calming colors. Now the colors are too heavy and harsh.

ReplyDeleteNew layout feels less "Cool news about a fun and exciting game on a fun looking site" and more "Corporate" I don't like the whole modern professional look, it takes away the feel that we're just some dudes talking about a nice update some other cool dude we know told us about. Instead its a bit faceless, takes the personal element out. I like to think of Moobeat as some cool guy that personally responds and gets excited with the rest of us [which you do] but the new look is just corporate and unapproachable. Plus yeah, it feels really cluttered.

DeleteWhat makes it faceless to me? The scheme of it. The black boxes and large empty spaces between everything [before it was just on either side] just gives a real "office" feel to me. Feels like less of a league site. Its really hard to describe how it feels like its missing the "fun". But the layout, the font, the monochrome all take the feeling of personal away from me.
Don't want to cause a poo storm, changes never sit well with everyone, hell even Riot know that. I'll like things no matter what they look like, you do a great job.

DeleteI liked the old one better too. The grey and orange clash and make it hard to look at, it feels very stiff and boring with the boxes and color scheme compared to the old "hey lets relax and have fun" style the other layout had, lastly there is too much free space in the window just empty.

ReplyDeleteThe layout is well done. Every thing is up to date with modern html5 and CSS with the proper background functions. The scheme is well laid out and nothing is off beat in chrome atleast. Good work Frosty and Moobeat

And not only that, but rather than getting mad what he did was ask for suggestions and claridfications on criticism... and nobody had the decency to actually reply or clarify with him.
We all owe Moobeat a LOT for how much we are shown and the info we recieve thanks to this site. Can we try to be a little more grateful in the future?
One suggestion to new layout: have a newest tab or smth, it's easier to look at than to browse trough all the other tabs.

ReplyDeleteLayout looks great. I've always preferred more serious, modern looking layouts like these. It doesn't really feel cluttered, I'm sure the problem is only for those with low resolutions. But who cares about them?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like is the continue reading link. Though it makes the site look better, I always like doing things quick. The drop-down suggestion someone mentioned earlier might change my mind though.

ReplyDeleteHey moobeat this is my own personal opinin i dont speak for anyone else buy i really dont like the new look it isnt visually appealing and kinda boring i hate how you have to open a new window to read about a post it should be a drop down bar cause i miss just scrolling down and reading this new way is tedious and takes much longer and the site seems empty and no as "fun and inviting" as the old one and on the left yu could click on at date and the post and go right to it. Thx for listening that is my opinion on the mater
ReplyDeleteo and this is way to cluttered you tried adding a ton of stuff to make navigation eaiser but it is to full and not as easy to navigate i like when you could just read on i like the drop down idea someone had but i think it was that person who donated ideas because he gave you money so you had to follow his ideas or he thinks he should have major contribution cause he gave money but maybe not
