New Splash Arts for Morgana and Miss Fortune.

Over on the official League of Legends Facebook, Riot shared two brand new splash arts - one for Morgana and one for Miss Fortune. Look below to grab a sneak peak of them before they work their way into the client in the near future!
If you've been watching Volibar's twitter today, these might look a little familiar. He was tweeting out pictures of them adorning the Riot Gamescom booth.

ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be disappointed if they add these to the client. Even though they are both beautifully done, I don't think they match the current styles and the current Morgana splash art is fine. New MF splash art looks a bit cartoony too.

Morgana's looks are stunning.
I must say the artist done a good job. They made the characters come alive. Not like in the chinese ones that is overly done/anime-sh and is not good anymore. :)
These are just... way too cartoon-y. I hope to god they don't change it =/

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of ugly classic arts of champions like Malph, Nasus, Udyr, Tristana, Yi, that's why Riot should rework their splash arts aswell

i like the current ones more :X but hey, we finally know that morgana is wearing a real bra which is not only painted on her boobies =)
ReplyDeleteSo much better than the old MF art. The body is more dynamic and not boring to look at. The only thing is that i wish it had more warm colors like the old one.
ReplyDeleteThe new Morgana art is also great. The wings look much better. IT has a much better background also. The last one was too boring.
But i also agree there are other classic arts that need new splash art asap.

More like Detail = art. Why don't you take another look at the old MF skin and tell me where the art is? Do you know what you're talking about? The old skin was all warm color, all orange and red, no focus, overall a boring feel, it didn't draw your eye to anything, this one draws your eye right to the exploding ship, and the face because of the hair, which, by the way, she looks gorgeous in comparison to the derp-ass face she made in her current splash art. And as a more physical critique, her body was way more disproportional.The lighting and detail on these skins are much better as well. If someone says they think this is a good art, don't be quick to assume we're just staring at tits.
DeleteBack to art class please. Giving more details is not automatically better art but crosses the 'can you find item xy in this picture' line. Simple pictures without a lot details have in fact - just to use your example - more focus since you're not distracted by them. That aside focus doesn't have to be a big part in art. Or do you think a panorama scenerie needs a focus? :p Sometimes art can just be a picture that embraces the whole as the old MF one does with colors that flow into each other very well. Also facial expression and proportions can vary greatly depending on angle - that said I think the old splash matches the ingame model more than this which makes her look like plastic.
DeleteYou can talk all you want as long as it's polite since art is always judged by the personal view. YOU however flame others for their opinion - you make yourself look like a kid there, just saying - which is definitly not the way art should be discussed.
Closing this statement, have a look at some art like the Mona Lisa - not much details in the background but it focuses on the person. The colors however and the drawing method however pull that focus away again as they flow into each other. Where is your god now?
I take it that I'm the only one who thinks the Mona Lisa is hideous?

The current Morgana splash art there is now was implented last year and I think it's WAY awesome than this... I mean, this looks comic-ish. The current is art!

Looks pretty cool. I like it more than the "other" new one.
Some people just can't be happy. They look great to me. And the boobs are the same on these champs. Morgana has always had the best rack in the game. lol.

ReplyDeleteI think the boobs on the last Morgana were terrible. Something just wasn't right about them. I don't think one of them should have been showing as much from that perspective. I like both sets though as a whole though.
ReplyDeleteNeither one of them needed new splash arts, especially when we've still got old ones for Nasus, Sion, Nidalee, Nunu, Singed, and Shaco who could use an update a lot more. Confused as to why Morgana got a new one, her current one looks perfectly fine.

It literally looks like shit, her facial expression is retarded, her tits are way too big and disproportional, they don't even look like boobs, her guns are way too big, her right leg looks gimpy as hell, and the bend she's doing makes her hips look retarded. Take off your nostalgic glasses, because her current skin is in need of a rework just like a lot of other champions. And they look cleaner? Even though I didn't think Morg's really needed updating, the lighting and detail on these new skins are phenomenal, the shine and crisp details remind me of High Command Katarina skin. These new splash arts are great

Comparing a plastic baywatch barbie with an exploding ship in the background because they obviously had no better ideas to communicate pirate hunter to a wonderful piece of atmospheric art that embraces the whole being of Katarina. Deletethey should redo soraka and nidalee in my opinion. The Triangle feet on nidalee, and soraka's lack of attention and skins in comparison to other champions has always been a downer for supports like myself.
