New Splash Art
This is the patch that just keeps on giving! While I expected to see new splashes for a few of the skins that didn't have completed art yet, I certainly didn't expect completely new splash art for Vladimir and Kassadin to pop up.

Balance Changes
This small patch also included a batch of changes for some of the new TT exclusive items and Elise.
NOTE: The changes ARE live but the display isn't working. For example, if you purchase Hextech Sweeper you'll notice it says it still gives +40 AP but it actually will only give you 25 ( additional note, I have 5 bonus AP in that screen shot, whoops! ).
Elise
- Volatile Spiderling AP ratio increased to .8 from .7
- Volatile Spiderling Mana cost changed to 65/70/75/80/85 from 75.

Hextech Sweeper
Lord Van Damm's Pillager
- AP reduced to 25 from 40
- Spell vamp reduced to 10% from 15%
Soulsight Lantern
Wooglet's Witchcap
- Attack damage increased to 25 from 23.
- Lifesteal reduced to 0% from 12%
- Bonus magic damage proc reduced to 300 damage from 425.
- AP increased to 100 from 80.
edit: Co-op VS Ai support was also added for the new TT in this patch!
There also a new "did you know" dialogue that pops up when you load into a game.
Too bad Vladimir is way too nerfed :/

DeleteHe is one of the best AP mids in the game.
Also, as a bias, he is my favorite AP champion.
Sometimes, he isn't good 1v1, but with a good initiation from your team, you can easily go 5 for zip
DeleteHe might have no buffs at all (might be wrong on that) but he still offers so much goodies to a team with a fantastic AoE ult and great sustain and natural tankiness.

Vlad is fine, I love him he is so fun to play either mid or solo top. Tough and can lay out nice damage.

Vlad is possibly one of the most balanced champion in the whole game imho. He is certainly not weak.

DeleteHis early game is weak yeah, so? LeBlanc's early/mid game is strong but falls off late game for example.
DeleteEvery champ has it's own benefits and disadvantages, and a vladimir is often able to win games that go on too long, just because of his incredible tankyness + damage at the same time, when he finally has those items.

DeleteI actually really like the Vlad art. And best of all it's actually new and not just chinese work slapped in.
ReplyDeleteThe only problem is when they use it in-game it wont show his face very clearly. Riot has said they want arts to represent the character and in-game to have enough clarity for peoples recognition, so that may be a very minor issue.

DeleteDear god. Apparently its gonna be Sion's turn next, but hopefully Kassadin will be after.
I think think they should save the new arts for visual reworks. come on, Morgana's new art is nothing compared to how she actually looks like in-game, same with Ryze and now Kass. Although Sion needs the rework more badly, Kass still probably won't be reworked as there are other champs that desperately need it before him like Nidalee (I personally loath her but I have to agree with others.)

ok really u took all the lifesteal away from lantern, who the fuck would even buy it now? sweeper was hardly used at all anyway it needed no nurfs whatsoever. and (if u havent found it yet) why hasnt balcktorch been nurfed? thats the 1 item that needed it the most. /allmyrage
ReplyDeletesrsly 0% life steal is too much , i agree 12% was a lot and needed to be reducded, but 0% life steal is toomuch . guess it'l be 450 gold cheaper now since we dont need to buy life steal . And that lord van damm's spell vamp really needed to be decreased , 15% spell vamp was similar to hextech's spell vamp not to mention in van damm's u dont need to buy the ap item to get spell vamp .

I understand this item as an alternative to Wriggle's Lantern. It's made for support heroes clearly! It has a map revealing active effect and it's passive hit proc helps support players to hold the lane while the carry is back in base / hard push the lane. No need for lifesteal on that.
