"Those are called Crests of Honor. It's possible to 'lose' them if you do not continue to be Honorable. The reason it does not take 100 or more Honor to unlock the Crests is because it's actually difficult to keep them. You have to continue to be Honorable game after game to stay a pillar of our community."Which he then elaborated on in a different thread, saying:
"Yes, you can lose Crests. We want to encourage players to be Honorable throughout their games and if you lose a Crest, you should be very close to re-earning it if you remain Honorable.Additionally, he cleared the air a bit about how the honor crests are calculated and awarded by mentioning:
We made Crests temporary because we didn't want players to be able to permanently unlock them and potentially go on bad behavior or toxic sprees. One of the worst experiences you could have is someone who apparently embodies Honor in League of Legends and then verbally abuses you. This is also why we made sure that a player loses all their Honor if they are banned by the Tribunal--to us, a player who is truly Honorable should never be in the 1.5% of players who are punished by the Tribunal."
"Crests aren't based on Honor counts in your profile.He then went on to respond to a thread in which a summoner asked if a player's honor is diminished by handing out a bunch of honor. Lyte responded with:
Honor assesses the value of all your exchanges to determine how Honorable you are compared to the rest of the population."

Let's say you have 99 Honor, but they are all from a premade friend. You are unlikely to unlock a Crest this way. You are much more likely to unlock a Crest if a bunch of random players play in your games and Honor you for being awesome."

DeleteIn my opinion, Taric is badly in need of a visual rework, he's my all-time favorite tank and he looks like a bloody block with sticks.
Deleteall those "megaman feet" characters need a remake because those feet are just to funny compared to the newer models

DeleteTaric needs a rework. His passive is absolutely useless in the current meta as you would need to build either damage or attack speed to make full use of it. He's a strong support, just outdated. Also, fix his stupid hair on Bloodstone Taric, seriously, wtf Riot.

DeleteYou can give honor to your buddies, as it still counts, but it counts less than a random pug being impressed with your friendliness or helpfulness. I mean, if you're a premade, I should HOPE you guys are using teamwork.

ReplyDeleteIt's so rare that you run into people who play only bots. I've been around since the begining of year one and i just can't stand playing matchmaking/ranked. People in these kind of games just CAN'T be coxed into being nice.

I don`t think so. You will probably lose the crest if you play games AND you are not honoured consistently for them. If you don`t play for a month, I guess they will just stay with you. Needs testing though
DeleteI imagine that it would be a case of "if you get a load of honour and then play like a dick you'll lose your points" rather than the Korean ELO style of play which is "you must play every day or you'll lose your points".

DeleteInteresting part about the Honor system... so its a temporary crest. It seems vaguely similar to elo decay. Since your standing in honor is compared to the whole community its possible if you don't receive enough honor per game or don't play as much games as you used to will result in you losing the crest and someone else gaining it (vice-versa). Since he says Tribunal punished the bottom 1.5% of the player base then I wonder how much of the community % wise has a crest... Is it 1.5% of the top? Very interesting post. So far I have only seen one person in champ select who had the "Honorable Opp" crest but someone dodged so I was never able to see who it was.
