Here is the "Victorious Janna Heralds Season Two Rewards" announcement:
"With Season Two coming to an end on November 6, we want to recognize and honor all the players who courageously carried, stunned, ganked, and healed their way to Ranked play’s upper echelons. All players who completed Season Two in the Bronze tier and above will earn special rewards.
Even better, those who hold a rank of Gold or higher will receive an exclusive skin befitting their status as a battle-tested summoner: Victorious Janna. Far from a passive support, Victorious Janna arrives at the Demacian front lines bedecked in battle-ready plate armor, wielding a crystalline torch to burn through the fog of war.
Victorious Janna will join worthy summoners’ lineups on November 6, along with other great rewards for those who persevered throughout Season Two. Check out this post for more information on each tier’s rewards.
Also of note is the soft Elo reset to Twisted Treeline and Summoner’s Rift on November 6. This new date is better in line with the arrival date of new Season 3 content, and gives summoners more time to compete on the Fields on Justice to wrap up Season 2.
You will begin the new season unranked, with your initial seeding based on a compressed version of your final rating from Season 2. In addition, the system’s confidence in your rating will be reset, so large Elo gains will be possible even if you’re an extremely experienced player. More details will be released as we come closer to the start of the season.
Furthermore, we are continuing to stringently investigate and punish ELO boosters."

For those wondering what will happen to their season one forum badges, don't worry! Magus confirmed they will be staying:
"You'll keep your S1 badge. Also, I believe we're making it cooler"He also clarified on when to expect end of season rewards, saying:
"To clarify, the season will now end with the patch targeted on 11/6. Rewards will be distributed very shortly thereafter."
On the Elo reset, Yegg mentioned that it will be based on your current end of Season Elo ( not your Top which rewards are based on ), saying:
"Rewards will be based on your Top Rating on November 6th and the soft reset will be based on your Current Rating plus 50 on that same date."While it isn't anything out of the ordinary for promotional skins and skin codes, he also mentioned that players who do not own Janna will recieve her unlocked when the skin is awarded.
"Yes, players who earn the Janna skin and don't yet have the champion will get Janna along with the skin."Discussing why players won't receive a forum badge for obtaining gold, he said:
"This may be unpopular (bracing for downvotes!) but we want forum badges to indicate that the recipient is one of the top players in ranked play. To that end, they need to be relatively rare, and we decided that we should be consistent in terms of only awarding them to the top two tiers.Also, Yegg comments that just like last season we will have a preseason.
Plus, Gold players are already getting Victorious Janna and it's the first tier at which you earn the new profile banner trim, which looks awesome. I'm hoping to be able to preview some of the rewards art on the forums in the next couple weeks."
"Season 3 will have a preseason that starts on November 6. We'll announce more details on that (and the actual season start) in the coming weeks."

DeleteStop blaming Elo Hell: the average elo rating is along the lines of 1140 - way below what the average person thinks his true elo is. If you cannot progress upwards a bit in a 50+ matches then you are at your current true elo.
DeleteI was hovering around 1200 and 1000 for more than 4 moths before I started tryharding every game, and hit gold before last week.
(hint: getting fed as a carry every game won't get you anything, you have to coordinate and protect your team - and allowing a flame war to escalate will net you a loss 70% of the time)
Suck it up and try harder next season, and experiment in the time you have in the pre-season: breaking away from the usual "op picks, ahue" and icking something old-school or unconventional can take the enemy by surprise, as in:
"no, dont pick ww he sux"+"gg, we lost" -> a 9/2/13 Warwick is bashing heads 1v3 in the enemy base at 28 minutes.
Too be honest, you wont find your TRUE elo till 400+ games

DeleteBullshit. Elo hell is elo hell. As u did I tryharded everygame, winning my lane with like 5:0 then going for 10:0 in late game. But suddenly I notice that while Im bashing heads with my Voli on top I got 0:10 Ez on bot and 0:20 Ahri on mid. Sure its my fking fault that I stay in this Elo.
Solo Q Elo =/= skill. Remember that cuz its a fact. Its just a random number which goes up ONLY if ur lucky. U cant carry the game 1v5 in LoL. This game is way too unbalanced. Go play Dota if u wanna go this way.
random number that goes up if you're lucky? please explain how skills of players are generally increasing as you reach a higher elo then. i have reached platinum this year and i am pretty sure i didn't simply just get lucky along the way. as for you playing voli, it's kinda hard to carry with him, even if you are fed 10/0.

DeleteMy rating says "0" with the lowest rank bronze medal. But in the lower right, it says "Current Rating: 1311"

You need to play more games for the elo to officially give you a rank. As you are now I believe you are "unranked".

DeleteAchieving Gold in multiple queues just qualifies you for more Gold tier summoner icons, including a fourth Gold icon if you achieve it in all three queues.
Yes, you will all get the skin, considering every player was in at least 5 of the winning matches :)

This article CLEARLY states that the soft elo reset will be based on your TOP RATING, not your CURRENT RATING. They will be compressing both to bunch up all players closer together for the start of the season
