Dark Candy Fiddlesticks, and more!

New Splash Art
New splash arts were added in for the missing Snowdown Showdown skins, as well as the default splash arts for
Vi and post
Visual Update Nidalee.

Particle Changes
Bad Santa Veigar got the rest of his particle set in this patch, including a new look for hs Q, W, R. I include his new E ( which was in the last patch ) for completions sake.

| Finally matching up with the sound, his W drops an ornament. |

| His R fires a present which explodes in a very non present way. |
While
Dark Candy Fiddlesticks had particles before, a missing texture was making look all janky and blue. Here are are now, much more attractive and complete than before..

| His Q has swirls to match his skin colors ( fear icon is missing atm, sure it will be fixed by live ) |

| W is ice cold. |
 |
| E Bird is also cold. |
 |
| Surprise! More Ice on his R. |
Steel Legion Lux also got a few of her new particles, although she is still incomplete.

| R is very obviously not complete but shows some promise. |

| His R clone has a fresh new green tint. |
 |
His R clone now explodes with the same daggers he is wielding.

Ward Skins
While they aren't enabled in the shop just yet, the new ward skins have store images now.
Balance Changes
Vi
- Assault and Battery no longer applies Denting Blows
- Assault and Battery damage reduced to 200/325/450 damage from 200/350/500

ReplyDeleteOH, the snowman ward is made with A Rabadon's, a Phage, a Pickaxe, and a Null Magic Mantle! Did not notice that before!

In the other hand, Vi looks delicious, even with that bald part the left side of her head, she still looks badass AND delicous at the same time, those hips are unreal <3 just as i like them
Nidalee's looks amazing as well, really amazing, only dissapointed on French Maid not having a new splash, after all, she doesnt look like the current splash anymore (for good)

ReplyDeleteKatarina became animu. Vi & Veigar have awesome splashes. Jeez, Bad Santa Veigar is instabuy for me. Who did Vi's splash art? God like detail man. Wish in game models could have that much detail, but then my crap laptop wouldn't be able to run it haha...

Vi has a lot of nice voice interactions with Caitlyn and one with Jayce but they should really add the same on those characters to make it better.

ReplyDeleteVi ultimate was average with Denting Blows, now it's sh*t. 200dmg is like common spell on lvl 6-7.

ReplyDeleteYou are forgetting the CC, +140 bonus AD, the 100%hit chance and AoE damage. I was suprised it aplied denting blows, found it very OP myself.

ReplyDeleteOn a more interesting note, I really like all the Veigar effects, esp. the falling ornament. Who hasn't had that happen at some point during the holidays :D
What about Christmas map ?
ReplyDeleteDark Candy Fiddles is looking awesome, but I feel like his in game doesn't compare well to the awesome splash art. His eyes are squinty and he has less fur on his coat. Anyone else see it?
ReplyDeleteAlso I'll add that his name is Dark Candy, yet there isn't a hint of candy in his kit. I'm hoping they change the crow to a peppermint candy or something.

ReplyDeleteit certainly is amazing that's for sure. Screams of her badassness. The amount of deatail and lighting in the background is making many of the simplistic splash art seems "lazy" (unfortunately where it wont be seen in game at all)

ReplyDeleteHey Moobeat, im not sure if this is from this patch, but I played a PBE game and at the end, in the resulst appeared "Damage Dealt to Champions", "Phisycal Damage Dealt to Champions" and " Magic Damage Dealt to Champions".

ReplyDeleteis it just me, or does the nidalee spalsh art (although nice) seem anatomically incorrect? it's just as if her left leg is misplace if you compare her to where her hip is visible(her stretched right leg). Her arm seems to camouflage it, it just somehow seems to feel wrong to me.

ReplyDeleteyeah, I don't understand why they made a "Dark Candy" skin but it has nothing even remotely related to candy. I was hoping for like a little sinister candy cane bird for his E and a candy blizzard for his ult. Instead they give us this. I'm sick of having one holiday skin be infinitely better than the rest. The Veigar one is amazing and all the others blow chunks.

ReplyDeleteYou know what I noticed on new Nidalee splash art? She's missing her earrings... either that or her necklace is also the same color, which isn't so on her model (dark brown necklace, not white)

ReplyDeleteGood change on Vi's Q. Q applying Denting Blows was horribly OP, as Vi could Q-AA-E for half of her lane opponent's hp almost instantly. This definitely balanced her out a ton, and she's still very strong. We'll see if she needs more nerfs or not - probably only some number tweaking from here on out!

ReplyDeleteAnd what about the hint of Dark then? The incomplete particles we had a few days ago were scary as hell with all that randomly amassed black everywhere... Almost liked them better than the new ones.
ReplyDeleteYet she ain't even black. Her skin is darker than default but still it is lighter than Malzahar's, which also isn't that black either.
ReplyDeleteI really wish Lux's laser had a bit more realism. When i say that, i mean having the laser start small and then grow huge as it moves, not just flat out being huge and having that wierd animation [look at the pic where Steel Legion Lux uses her ult and you'll know what i mean].

ReplyDeleteIts just my opinion , the only reason i may buy this skin is the splash art , the model is so and so , was hoping for better , but i think being a holiday skin (will be disabled after) is enough reason for me to buy it.
And trust me if i was to vote about keeping it the same way as it is right now or changing it and delay the skin for 1 week or more then i would vote for changing it.
Oh look... Veigar is throwing christmas trees. This is in no way related to his character, better remove it.
