Hey everyone, here's a quick update on the happenings in the eSports world this week!
Continue reading for information regarding Fnatic and their AD Carry, Rekkles, Absolute Legends NA, and some major changes in a North American team!

Fnatic and Rekkles
Rumours of possible trouble in the Fnatic line up lead to the announcement by Fnatic that Rekkles will be heading up a new Academy level team during Season 3. Due to Riot rules in the Championship series, Rekkles cannot play because he is under age (17). Instead he will be a part of an academy team that will attend every non-Riot event during Season 3!

Absolute Legends NA
Unfortunately, The Absolute Legends organization has disbanded their North American team on December 26th. This leaves Spellsy, ROBERTxLEE, YoDa, Zekent, and Slooshi without a professional team.

Counter Logic Gaming Changes
The organization of CLG has come out this morning with a TON of changes! Here's a nice compiled little list of things coming out of this announcement:

- CLG has signed onto GGWP Apparel and have an entire line of clothing coming out. The link is located here but isn't currently up. It will be in the future.

- The documentary that CLG has been planning is almost finished and it's going to be free to watch by anyone who wants to view it.

- CLG is coming out with their own tournament as well! Like the SoloMid Series that recently finished, CLG is coming out with the CLG Premier Series. They've released this trailer along with the anouncement:
In short, the tournament competitors will be decided by the North American 5v5 ladder. The top 16 teams will be chosen to compete. The prize money will be initially donated by CLG in the amount fo $10,000. Each further installment's prize pool will be determined by the amount of revenue generated from the installment before.  More information available here.

- In sad news, CLG.eu will no longer be a part of the CLG franchise. Their contract which expires in a few days will not be renewed. CLG.eu has apparently received some great offers to buy the team and the CLG organization could not keep up. HotShotGG released this statement:
“While I am sad to see CLG EU leave, I understand their position and the wonderful opportunity that has been presented to them. In their time with the organization, Snoopeh, Krepo, Yellowpete, Froggen, and Wickd have proven themselves to be one of the most consistent and formidable teams in the League of Legends professional scene. I am proud of what they have accomplished; grateful for the value and honor they brought to CLG; thankful for the time we spent together as teammates and friends at events, in Korea, at the gaming house in California; and excited to see them continue to develop and grow not only as players, but as people. Good luck in Season 3 and beyond!”
 - As well, CLG.Black has decided to disband as well. This was the second North American team from the franchise. With the disbanding of this team, CLG Prime has decided to pick up Link115 as their substitute player for the Season 3 championship series. He will be moving into the CLG house with the other team members.

- In CLG Prime news, Aphromoo will be taking over the starting position of support player. He fills the spot left by Locodoco when he left the team earlier in the year. Aphromoo put out this statement regarding joining CLG Prime:
“Time to get down to business,” said Aphromoo about joining CLG. “Being given the opportunity to play support for CLG makes me a little giddy because I will be able to play a role I am most comfortable in, coming from a healer for seven years in World of Warcraft. I will be putting in hard work to master support coming from playing AD carry so much, but with being under CLG I will have the proper tools necessary in order to become the best support in the world. I am happy!”
- Management in the CLG organization has also done some major changing! No longer will Helen “RealMomGG” Georgallidis be CEO and Robert “CyberBob” Del Papa be COO. They've decided to leave the organization. Also, Kelby “SAYOCEAN” May will fill the role of General Manager and Mark “Garvey” Candella will fill the role of Director of Business Development.
