- Per our discussion earlier, the Dragonblade Riven and Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere are Legacy skins, so they’ll head into the Legacy vault when the event ends at 16:00 PST on February 11, 2014. Since Lunar Goddess Diana is only her second skin after release, she’ll be in the store permanently (just as we did with Haunted Zyra and Officer Vi).

How do I earn the summoner icon rewards?
- There are four icons to earn during Lunar Revel:
When do I get the rewards?
- The Year of the Horse Icon: To earn this icon, you must play and win a game in a matchmade queue. Custom games do not count, but you do not have to play with friends to earn the Year of the Horse Icon. Games against AI or “bot” opponents will not count.
- Icon of Lunar Goddess Diana: To earn this icon, you must enter a matchmade queue (not a custom game) with at least one friend and finish two games on Twisted Treeline or the Crystal Scar (Dominion game-mode). Games against AI or “bot” opponents will not count.
- Icon of Dragonblade Riven: To earn this icon, you must enter a matchmade queue (not a custom game) with at least one friend and finish two games on Howling Abyss.
- Icon of Warring Kingdoms Tryndamere: To earn this icon, you must enter a matchmade queue (not a custom game) with at least one friend and finish two games on Summoner’s Rift. Games against AI or “bot” opponents will not count.
- You should get your icons no later than three (3) days after the event ends. If you did not receive the rewards after three (3) days, please let us know.
NOTE: Due to the availability of TTL and DOM, Some of these requirements are different for different servers.

Choose Your Path Icons
This year's Lunar Revel features a new "Choose Your Path Promotion!" where summoners will vote on which of three exclusive icons everyone in their region will get!
"The Lunar Revel welcomes the dawn of a new year, and during the festival, you’ll cast your vote for the warrior’s path your region will follow in 2014. Players will receive a unique summoner icon representing the chosen path at the conclusion of the celebration!"
You'll need to login to your appropriate region's website and travel to the Lunar Revel promo site to vote!

What is the “Choose a path” experience?
- "Choose a path" refers to a region-wide vote during the 2014 Lunar Revel (from January 28 until February 11). Players in each region can choose the Path of Truth, the Path of Freedom or the Path of Power. At the end of the Lunar Revel, we will announce each region’s chosen path, and players in the region who have been active within 90 days will be rewarded with a specially-treated summoner icon representing the path their region chose to follow in 2014
- You must be logged in to the leagueoflegends.com website to vote. You’ll select one of the Paths by clicking on it. Then, click “Submit final vote” to lock in and send your final selection. We’ll tally the results, and announce the chosen path after the event ends.
Mystery Gifting Returns
As with other holidays, Mystery Gifting has returned!

What is Mystery Gifting?
- Mystery Gifting allows summoners to send their friends a surprise gift. There are two different kinds of Mystery Gifting. For 490 RP, you can send your friend a random Mystery Skin for one of the champions they own, OR you can send your friend a random Mystery Champion they don’t own. In either case, the gift will be worth at least 520 RP.
- Any skin for any Champion that your friend owns is eligible as a Mystery Skin, as long as your friend doesn’t already own the skin and it’s currently worth 520 RP or higher and available in the store. This includes Legendary and even Ultimate skins! All Legacy skins will also be obtainable as a Mystery Skin EXCEPT Achievement skins, Collector’s Edition skins, PAX skins, Rusty Blitzcrank, Urf the Manatee, Championship Riven and Riot Squad Singed.
- There are also some Legacy skins not for sale in the store that will be obtainable as a Mystery Skin. For a complete list of all the different skin types, check out our Guide to Champion Skin Types.
- All champions that your friend doesn’t own valued at 520 RP or more are eligible.
- The player receiving the gift needs to have been on your buddy list for at least two weeks.
- If a player uses the /mute or /ignore chat command on someone, they will have to re-add the friend, and wait two weeks until a gift can be sent to that player.
- The player receiving the gift needs to be at least level 10.
- The player receiving the gift cannot be banned or suspended (this includes LeaverBuster, Tribunal, etc).
- The player receiving the gift must have at least 10 unowned skins OR champions that they are eligible to receive, depending on which gift is being given.
- The player sending the gift must be at least level 20.
- You can only send up to three gifts every 24 hours*.
- You can only receive up to three gifts every 24 hours*.
Is it possible for my friend to receive a Mystery Skin for a champion they don’t own?
- Nope, your friend can only receive skins for champions they already own. For example, your friend cannot receive Jade Dragon Wukong if they don’t already own Wukong as a champion.
- Your friend can only receive a skin that they don’t already own. No duplicate skins will be added to their account.
- No, just like regular Gifting, anything received from the Mystery Gifting feature is non-reversible and non-refundable.
