2015 World Championship - Group Stage (Week One)

A month of esports action officially kicks off with the start of the 2015 World Championship Group Stage! For the next two weeks we'll have the four groups competing to see who can make it out of the group stages in Paris. While four teams will start in each group, only the top two will continue on to the Knockout stage. A total prize pool of $2,000,000 USD will be distributed between the sixteen teams based on where they finish in the event.

During the GROUP STAGE, each of the 16 teams are split up into four four team groups. Over the course of two weeks they'll play each other team in their group twice in a best of one.

This post will cover the 24 matches played during week one, which runs October 1st through October 4th. We'll have a second post up for week two of the Group Stages, which will run from October 8th through October 11th.

The 2015 World Championship will be played on patch 5.18.
