This afternoon's red post collection includes the 2/1 patch update, a heads up that the team behind Jhin will be hosting a Q&A on February 2nd, Socrates with updates on the new champion select, a reminder that Varus price has been reduced, a DIY tutorial for a Lunar Revel Shadow box, and more!

February 1st Patch Update

The official 6.2 patch notes have been updated to reflect a small hotfix that was pushed out on Febraury 1st, including bug fixes for Kindred, Rumble, Baron Nashor, and trinkets!

"2/1/2016 
Kindred
  • CALM DOWN, WOLF - Fixed a bug where proccing Kindred's E - Mounting Dread could unintentionally trigger extra damage to the target 
Rumble
  • BURN IT WITH FIRE - Fixed a bug where Rumble's Q - Flamespitter sometimes missed a tick of damage when used while in Danger Zone 
Trinkets
  • SELF-SPOTTING - Xerath and Jhin can now use trinkets while casting R - Rite of the Arcaneand R - Curtain Call 
Baron Nashor
  • WHOOPS - Fixed a bug where Baron Nashor was spawning at 19:50, rather than 20:00"

With Jhin's recent release, the team will be getting together for a Q&A on February 22nd!

The Future of New Champ Select

Here's Socrates with a heads up on the future of new champion select and a few changes they are looking to make now that it has been out on live for a short while:
"Hey all, 
Now that new champ select’s out and stable, we wanted to share how we’re going to be updating things over the coming weeks and months. We’ve been keeping tabs on the various forums, so hopefully you see some of your suggestions here:
  • Pick intent will no longer show the opposing team your champion when your turn starts
  • Adding filters for sorting the champion grid by role
  • Adding ability to pull up the champion grid at any time
  • Shortening pre-select, pick and ban timers in champ select
  • Skin purchasing will work in champ select
  • Lots of bugfixes:
    • Fixing issues with soft locks around entering / leaving lobbies
    • Fixing issues around entering / leaving matchmaking (such as getting hit with queue dodges if you accept a match where a player is in champ select already)
    • Fixing queue time display inaccuracies
    • Free to play champions will once again be unplayable in ranked
    • Fixing an issue where the client is not popping to the front each time an action (AFK check, ban, pick) is required
We’re continuing to tune matchmaking in terms of time and quality (measured as each team having an equal chance at victory), and 6.2 brought some features like ward skin and chroma selection. This list isn’t exhaustive, so let us know your ideas for new champ select."

Lunar Revel Jinx Figure now available

The new Firecracker Jinx figure is now available in the Riot Games merch store!

With Jhin's release, Varus price has been reduced to 4800 IP / 880 RP!

New Summoner Icons Now Available


With 6.2 out to live, seven new esports team icons have been added to the shop for 250 RP each!
"Team icons for Cougar eSports (LMS), XGamers (LMS), Hong Kong Esports (LMS), Afreeca Freecs (LCK), Longzhu Gaming (LCK), e-mFire (LKC), and ROX Tigers (LCK) are now available."
