Legend of the Poro King

• Where can I find Legend of the Poro King? 

• The game mode will be available to select in the game mode queue of the client. 

• If I have poro icons from last year's Legend of the Poro King, will the poro skins carry over this year? 

• Yes! Your poro icons will work exactly as they did last year. 

• How long will the game mode last? 

• Legend of the Poro King runs for four weekends this Snowdown:
• Week 1: December 14, 2016 (11:00 a.m. PT) - December 20, 2016 (4:00 a.m. PT)
• Week 2: December 23, 2016 (12:00 p.m. PT) - December 27, 2016 (4:00 a.m. PT)
• Week 3: December 30, 2016 (12:00 p.m. PT) - January 3, 2017 (4:00 a.m. PT)
• Week 4: January 6, 2017 (12:00 p.m. PT) - January 10, 2017 (4:00 a.m. PT) 

• Are there any reward icons for playing? 

• Yes! You’ll receive a Poro King Icon for playing a game of Legend of the Poro King. 

• When will I receive my icon reward? 

• Please allow up until January 23, 2017 at 23:59 PT for the Poro King Icon to appear in your account.

Winter Summoner's Rift

• Which game modes will feature Winter Summoner’s Rift? 

• Winter Summoner’s Rift features on Co-op vs. AI, Normal Draft, and Blind Pick. It is NOT available on Nexus Siege and Ranked.  

• How long will this last? 

• Winter Summoner’s Rift begins on December 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. PT and ends on January 9, 2017 at 23:59 PT. 

Skins 

• Which skins are legacy? 

• All Snowdown content, including skins, wards, and icons, are legacy and will go back into the vault on January 9, 2017 at 23:59 PT.

Crafting 

• How long does Snowdown Crafting last? 

• Snowdown Crafting content is purchasable from December 14, 2016 - January 9, 2017 at 23:59 PT. 

• What are Snowdown Sweets? 

• Snowdown Sweets are drops you can use to craft exclusive Snowdown icons. Each icon costs a different number of Snowdown Sweets:
• Jolly Penguin Icon - 6 Snowdown Sweets
• Gingerbread Man Icon - 12 Snowdown Sweets
• Re-Gifted Amumu Icon (comes with limited-time emote) - 24 Snowdown Sweets
• Poro Snax Lover Icon (comes with limited-time emote) - 36 Snowdown Sweets 

• Where do Snowdown Sweets come from? 

• You can find Snowdown Sweets in Winter Chests and Snowdown Chests. You can also purchase them for 200 IP on the weekends that Snowdown Crafting is live (limit 2 per weekend day). 

• When do Snowdown Sweets expire? 

• Snowdown Sweets expire on January 16, 2017 at 23:59 PT. 

• What’s in a Winter Chest? 

• Winter Chests are similar to Hextech Chests with one special difference: you’ll receive a bonus Snowdown Sweet when you open it. 

• Do I need keys? 

• Winter Chests require keys as normal, but all other new chests during Snowdown do not require keys and will not consume them when opened. 

• What’s in a Legacy Chest? 

• Legacy Chests are similar to Hextech Chests, but they only drop a guaranteed Retired Legacy skin shard. Plus, you’ll receive a bonus Snowdown Sweet with your purchase. 

• What’s in a Snowdown Chest? 

• Snowdown Chests are themed chests available for purchase during Snowdown. Each one contains themed skin shards and three Snowdown Sweets. A new one will drop each day, so make sure to grab the ones you want before they disappear! 

• What’s in a Poro King’s Treasure Chest? 

• The Poro King’s Treasure Chest contains a random Skin Permanent. You’ll need three Poro King Treasure Chest fragments, which can drop from Winter and Snowdown Chests, to craft this.

Snowdown Hextech crafting is here through January 9th! New types of chests are available for purchase and chests will include SNOWDOWN SWEETS that can be used to craft icons!

As mentioned above the SNOWDOWN CHESTS will have a different theme each day. Riot Support has an article listing exactly what the daily themed chests will include.

You'll be able to purchase SNOWDOWN SWEETS with IP on weekends during Snowdown 2016.  As mentioned in the FAQ, these will cost 200 IP each and you can purchase two a day on Saturdays and Sundays - this means you can earn up to 16 from just spending IP and unlock a summoner icon!

New Summoner Icons

Legacy Star Guardian and Dark Star Poro summoner icons are also available for 250 RP each through the 9th! These unique summoner icons will change the appearance of your poro in the LotPK game mode. The other legacy poro summoner icons are also available for 250 RP.

Winter Summoner's Rift Preview

The cool new Winter Summoner's Rift map is now available for use during Snowdown 2016, and is packed full of poros, snow, Baron Santa hats, and more!

Through Janurary 9th, Winter Summoner’s Rift will be enabled on on Co-op vs. AI, Normal Draft (if available on your region), and Blind Pick. It is NOT available on Nexus Siege and Ranked.
