Qiyana Champion Trailer

Qiyana's Champion Trailer is now out on the LoL YT:

"Qiyana, Empress of the Elements, takes what is rightfully hers: a throne, a kingdom, a world."

Qiyana Abilities

An ability details page is now up for Qiyana:

Passive - Royal Privilege
The first attack or ability against an enemy champ deals bonus damage. This cooldown resets when she draws a new element.

Q - Edge of Ixtal
Qiyana slashes the area in front of her dealing damage. If her weapon is using an element, her weapon hurls forward as a projectile and explodes.
River - Roots opponents on hit.
Wall - Deals bonus damage to units with low health.
Brush - Leaves a stealth trail that gives movement speed.

W - Terrashape
Targeting an element, Qiyana dashes forward to gather its power. While enchanted, she gains movement speed near the element, attack speed, and bonus damage.

E - Audacity
Qiyana dashes a fixed distance towards a target, dealing damage to them.

R - Supreme Display of Talent
Qiyana creates a shockwave, knocking back enemies. Any River, Brush, or Wall hit by the shockwave then explodes dealing damage and briefly stunning enemies.

Playing Qiyana

Qiyana players have all the tools they need to improvise, adapt, and overcome almost any situation in their quest to hunt down squishies and snowball their team to victory.
Understanding how to position to take advantage of the terrain with W - Terrashape, is key. Qiyana gets damage, attack speed, and damage buffs while she's near her chosen element (River/Wall/Brush), and Q - Edge of Ixtal gains enhanced properties, letting her root enemies, do more damage to low health opponents, or stealth. Terrashape also allows her to perform a short dash and resets Edge of Ixtal's cooldown. Using her Q, W, Q combo can lead to some really awesome outplay opportunities, not to mention hefty extra damage from her passive, Royal Privilege.
Looking for fights in the river and jungle means Qiyana will have access to her entire range of abilities as opposed to when she's going toe-to-toe with a champ mid lane, and her R - Supreme Display of Talent, becomes much scarier once your opponent's back is up against a wall. Because explosions.
Qiyana delights in picking off immobile mages like Vel'Koz, Brand, and Xerath, using her superior movement options to dodge their skillshots and go in for the kill. However, she's not the best at dueling fighters or tanks who can survive her initial burst, and it's even worse if they can shut down her mobility or punish her for trying to take a new element. Poppy makes it really hard for Qiyana to move where she wants and loves when the princess Terrashapes towards walls.
Having access to multiple dashes and increased movement speed around river, walls, and brush, means Qiyana should be looking to roam and pick up early kills. The extra gold and resulting damage items mean she'll be able to take control of the map and turn any potential skirmish into a bloodbath."
