10.25b Patch Notes

The official Patch 10.25 notes have been updated with a ton of  10.25b balance changes & bugfixes that are headed out to live:
"12/15/2020 "10.25b" Balance Changes and Bugfixes
As promised, we're doing one last round of balance changes to ensure the game is in a good state before the winter break. Again, happy holidays and we'll see you back in January!
Akali
Akali was a big winner in preseason in that her win rate climbed considerably from awful to okay for most players. We've been hoping that we wouldn't need to nerf her until pro play started, but unfortunately, she's breaking ban rate limits in Elite play. Decreasing her prolonged combat damage as a result.
  • PASSIVE - ASSASSIN'S MARK MOVE SPEED 40/50/60/70% ⇒ 30/40/50/60%
  • PASSIVE - ASSASSIN'S MARK DAMAGE 39-180 (+60% bonus AD) (+50% AP) ⇒ 29-170 (+60% bonus AD) (+40% AP)

Rell
  • E - ATTRACT AND REPEL QOL CHANGE Rell's E would incorrectly prioritize targeting Rell, rather than snapping, when used with other abilities. We're changing it so she can't target herself with E within three seconds of taking damage from a champion, casting another ability, or basic attacking another champion to avoid this problem.
The Collector
  • BUGFIX Fixed a bug that caused The Collector to pierce through champion death passives
Ironspike Whip
  • SLOT SWAP BUGFIX Fixed a bug where Ironspike Whip's (and the items it builds into) cooldown would reduce to 0 when moving slots in the item inventory
  • TOTAL COST 3400 gold ⇒ 2500 gold
Sunfire Aegis
  • While relatively balanced, Sunfire Aegis continues to dominate tank Mythic choices. We're giving the other items more of a chance to be explored.

On twitter, Scruffy added the Hurricane changes are being pumped into 11.1:

"Unfortunately, we had to bump the Hurricane changes from the 10.25b patch into 11.1, they will definitely be coming in the new year.

Have some early 11.1 previews for you all later today, it's only partially finished though."

TFT Festival of Beasts

Check out the first teaser on the upcoming TFT mid-set changes - "This isn’t a dream, it’s perfectly real. It’s time for the Fates mid-set reveal!"
"Come! Gather ‘round, this cannot wait!
Before us winds the tale of Fates.
We’ve portaled through both space and time—
To where? We’ll tell you! (With a rhyme.)
City of music, lights, and feasts.
Behold! The Festival of Beasts!
Legends blue, red, big, and small
Can come experience it all:
Souls and Slayers and even Blacksmiths
Show off their awe-inspiring gifts,
And as the crowd bops to sick beats,
Daredevils risk outrageous feats.
There’s goodies for all, handmade by Ornn,
And sparklers that spook Furyhorns.
Dumplings galore, and oodles and oodles
Of Choncc and Shisa’s flame-fried noodles.
So much to see! So much to do!
The only thing that’s missing? You!
So to this New Year’s celebration,
Consider this your invitation.
The party starts soon! Discover more highlights on social before Festival of Beasts releases with patch 11.2.

Join the Fun"

The TFT twitter added:
[1] "F's in the chat for Dusk, Moonlight, Tormented, Shade, Hunter, and Dazzler champions who won't be joining the Festival of Beasts. Zed, Kindred, and Morgana will reprise their roles in the second half! Honestly, good for them."

[2] "Oh no! Looks like some invitations got lost in the shuffle. Nami, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Jinx, Ahri, and Jhin won't be able to make it to the festival this New Year. We wish them farewell!"

[3] Looks like Zed brought a few +1s! Slayers deal more damage to low health champions and gain lifesteal as they themselves aproach death.

[4] Kindred are stepping into the spotlight with an all new look (and by look, we mean trait). What's an Executioner, you ask? Well, these ranged specialists always criticaly strike low-health enemies with their attacks and spells.
[5] Morgana is known for making a splash, and this festival is no exception. She'll be staging her comeback as an Enlightened Syphoner. Word on the street says they siphon their opponents life with their spells.

Riot Mort added:
"Nami, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Jhin, Jinx, Ahri, Lissandra, Aphelios, Sylas, Vayne, Thresh, Cassiopeia, Riven, Lillia, Kayn, Evelynn, Ashe, Warwick, Lux, and Ezreal
20 Champs! Removed!! It's crazy!!
(and Diana is NOT being removed...)"

Miscellaneous

  • Riot Ghostcrawler tweeted a teaser about his job and a new MMO set in the League Universe:
"I have news!
My recent job at Riot has been to help develop the League universe, which we’re going to need!
Because it is time. My new job is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create.
PS We’re hiring"

He added

"It is an MMO"

[12/18] He later added:

[1] "A follow up about hiring for the new project. Yes, we are serious about hiring. These kind of games take a lot of developers. Like any R&D project we will start small, but we will grow. The best way to apply is to visit the Riot Games website. (1/3)"

[2] "New roles for this project will likely appear in January and we will add more over time. If you are an industry veteran with MMO experience, it's less important to wait for the role to be posted. Those folks can DM or hit me up on Linked In.  (2/3)"

[3] "Finally, please do be patient. We are thrilled with the excitement around this project, but every aspect of development, even hiring, is going to take time to do it right. We absolutely don't want to disappoint you. Our goal for many things at Riot is to exceed expectations (3/3)"

"Very early Patch Preview for 11.1:
There's still likely some additions coming in January after we see how things go over the rest of the month.
Also re-sharing the burst shift we're doing to transfer some of the up front burst into stats."
He added:
"We didn't like the way the previous Muramana change (only procs on physical spells) was impacting the patterns of many of its core users like Ezreal, Corki, and others.

So we're reverting that change and doing a simpler nerf to the item to bring it into balance."

  • Be sure to tune into All Star 2020 this weekend! The three days of action kick off Friday December 18th and running through December 20th! Here's a series of tweets from LoL esports sharing the schedule - 1/2/3

Other Games

Legends of Runeterra
"Reforge the blade. Redeem the past."
"But a warrior is more than their weapon alone."
"Cosmic Creation, the final expansion of Call of the Mountain, has finally arrived! From the outskirts of Noxus, to the laboratories of Zaun, and the furthest reaches of the Celestial Realm, come three new Champions - Riven, Viktor, and Zoe. Cosmic Creation includes these 3 Champions and 40 new collectible cards in total, including Followers, Spells, and Landmarks across all regions.
Cosmic Creation introduces the new keyword - Augment. Followers with Augment get a permanent +1|+0 bonus any time a ‘created’ card is played after they’ve been summoned. Created cards are any cards created by another card - whether it’s invoked, created in your deck and then drawn, or directly created in-hand. Some text has been updated on existing cards to clarify what’s considered as a ‘created’ card.
Two new Challenges are available to introduce you to the new mechanics of Cosmic Creation - Augmentation and Progress, and Reforging the Blade. Three new Daily Quests have also been added that revolve around Cosmic Creation’s new keywords and Champions.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been revealing cards from Cosmic Creation across our official social channels. Head over to our official Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages to take a look at what to expect in Cosmic Creation!"

Wild Rift
"As we approach the end of the year, we’re squeezing in a few new champions, balance changes and even players into Wild Rift! A huge welcome from the team to new players joining the Open Beta.

This patch, we’re replacing Cooldown Reduction with a new stat called Ability Haste, in line with our friends on League of Legends PC. We’re also officially welcoming Darius and Draven onto the Rift with our first canon lore event, Noxian Brotherhood. Joining them later this month will be Wukong, the Monkey King.

Check out the latest /dev diary for more. Welcome to Patch 1.1!"

Reminders

  • The Battle Queens event is running from now until January 11th with new skins, chromas, missions and the return of Nexus Blitz!
